Kathleen Begonia is a registered nurse, adjunct clinical faculty, and a nursing informaticist. She is a Nursing Science PhD student and Robert Wood Johnson Future of Nursing Scholar. She is the Vice President of the Alexander Begonia Foundation, which is her family organization that enriches lives by providing playgrounds, feeding programs, and scholarships to children in Pangasinan, Philippines. She enjoys paying it forward and making a difference in the local and global community.
She often volunteers in the medical tents for the NYC Marathon, assists with her parish’s food and clothing drives, and travels abroad for medical missions in the Philippines. When she is not serving the community, she is spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, and long distance running.
